Bumper Sticker Ministry

Have you ever had a bad day? We all have at one time or another. But have you ever had a bad day, and while driving in traffic, suddenly found yourself noticing a bumper sticker that seemed to speak to you? I remember having a rough day a few years ago and suddenly seeing a bumper sticker that said “when the devil reminds you of your past, remind him of his future.” Needless to say, that simple message was edifying and strengthening. It gave me courage at a time when I was thinking about giving up. That message on the bumper of someone’s car, whether they knew it or not, gave me the faith I needed to “fight the good fight.”

Thousands of people pass us on the streets and highways each year. Every one of those people are precious to God. Our cars and trucks are a cost effective way to promote the good news of Jesus Christ. Radio, television, billboards, and other media are very expensive ways to promote the gospel. Bumper stickers are incredibly cheap and they are seen by literally thousands of people each year. Imagine a man pulling up behind you who‘s been struggling with pornography, reading a bumper sticker that says: “Jesus loves you. Pornography doesn‘t” or “These three remain: faith, hope, & love. But the greatest of these is love,” or a woman who is battling cancer reading: “God answers prayer” or “God is good always.” Sometimes a simple gospel message shared in God’s perfect timing becomes a seed for healing, faith, hope, courage, or even forgiveness.

For a few dollars a person you have the possibility of helping people you may never meet, without having to go door to door or become a preacher. If you don't want to put a bumper sticker on your vehicle, simply tape it to the inside of your rear window.
